day 53 con't... off to market

beachside at the fish market

where fish and people pile into baskets

some try to escape

and others meet the their maker

sadly this tiger prawn found a spot on the dinner menu

alas it's now in a better place(michelle's tummy)

day 53... dunes of mui ne

5:30am at the dunes

where locals (who slept in the sand) rise for work

and we rise for sun

and promptly sit back down again... too early

finally we take to the slopes

hit the sleds

and quickly walk back to bed

day 51... peddling south to Mui Ne

gearing up for 80 kilometers of pain

though not without second thoughts

alas we suck it up and hit the road

with periodic (many) breaks of course

including lunch at the village store / gas station

snacks included

sigh... 58 more to go

day 50... canyoneers

suited up and ready to die

but first some practice... baby steps

next one big (18m) step straight down

and several bruises to the bottom

time to take the plunge

both head and tails first

feet worked pretty good too

sadly the rope was 3 m too short

finally we clean our selves off in the washing machine
