day 79... when fish attack

travel having taken a toll on our feet, we though a good pedicure was in order

and what says pedicure more than a tank full of piranhas

piranhas, maybe not, but flesh eating yes. supposedly their sucking/nibbling removes dead skin and promotes new healthy skin

the sensation is unworldly... it took kurt 20 mins of (schoolgirl) screaming before toe touched water

whether skin is removed, who knows, but your feet sure feel cleaner. but that could just be the water

day 78... out of the city

taking a painfully slow train to the top of penang hill

1 mph at a time

unfortunately the view up top was a mere arms length due to smog

bottom side we break at the spice garden

where GIANT palm leave shade the day

and plants bloom year round

definately one of the better stops in penang

later we walk down to monkey beach

though only a couple of monkeys could be found

before taking in the sites

we make friendly with the locals

at fort cornwallis (18th century)

later we head into chinatown

with some hindu's thrown in for good measure
